Tra Vinh University organized a scientific seminar on the morning of June 28, 2025, with the theme “Impact of Digital Transformation on Agricultural Economy.” The event attracts a large number of scientists, teachers, doctoral students, graduate students and undergraduate students.
The seminar welcomes the participation of the Board of Management of the College of Economics and Law, including Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Nguyen, Dean, and Dr. Nguyen Tan Dat, Vice Dean of the college. Distinguished scientists, lecturers and guests at the seminar include Prof. Doan Xuan Tien, former Deputy State Auditor General, Chairman of Vietnam Association of Auditors and Accountants, Chairman of ASEAN Federation of Accountants; Dr. Doan Ngoc Pha, Chairman of An Giang Provincial Federation of Science and Technology Associations; Dr. Tran Thanh Cao, Deputy Director of Southern Forest Science Institute; Dr. Nguyen Thanh Sang, Rector of Bac Lieu Vocational College; Dr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Lecturer at College of Economics and Law; Dr. Pham Minh Tri from State Bank Regional Branch 14; Dr. Pham Thi Gam Nhung from Kien Giang Power Company; and Dr. Vo The Truong from Provincial Inspectorate.

The seminar contributes to providing additional scientific and practical evidence to support policy-making processes and build digital agricultural development strategies in Vietnam in general and in the Tra Vinh region in particular. According to Dr. Nguyen Tan Dat, in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and globalization, digital transformation serves as a key driving force to improve productivity, quality, and sustainable development of the agricultural sector.
The organizing committee reports receiving 30 research papers from scientists and lecturers nationwide. Among these, five outstanding papers receive presentations at the seminar, focusing on key issues: Digital transformation in Vietnamese agriculture: Prospects for sustainable development by Tran Thanh Cao and Duong Thi Tuyet Anh; digital transformation and improving agricultural production efficiency by Doan Ngoc Pha; analyzing factors affecting farmers’ acceptance of digital transformation in agricultural product business from the perspective of government policy implementation departments in Tra Vinh province by Huynh Minh Phuc and Tran Thi Tuyet Mai; applying digital technology and green technology in climate-adaptive shrimp farming: The Wesolife case in Ca Mau by Le Nhi Bao Ngoc; and the impact of digital transformation on agricultural value chains in the Mekong Delta by Le Bao Toan, Duong Tuan Vu, and Huynh Thi My Duyen.
This forum serves as a platform connecting research cooperation between universities, research institutes, state management agencies, and enterprises, aiming toward the goal of developing smart, modern, and sustainable agriculture.
