TVU – Tra Vinh University is conducting a strategic training session on January 3, 2025, focusing on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The program aims to equip TVU’s lecturers and staff with essential management tools for enhancing teaching and research effectiveness.
Dr. Dang Diep Minh Tan, Head of the Department of Quality Assurance, and Mr. Nghi Vinh Khanh, Head of the Department of Information Technology, lead the training session. The session has attracted the participation of lecturers, staff, and leaders from schools and departments within Tra Vinh Univeraining by introducing the performance metrics and the crucial roles of OKRs and KPsity.
During the session, Dr. Tan introduces comprehensive performance metrics, highlighting the strategic importance of OKRs and KPIs in modern management. He emphasizes the SMART goal-setting approach for developing individual KPIs, stressing the importance of aligning personal objectives with institutional goals. Dr. Tan points out that a successful KPI system requires a scientific methodology and transparency to measure work performance effectively. His presentation explores the interconnected relationships between KPIs, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSIs), and Key Goal Indicators (KGIs), providing participants with a holistic view of performance evaluation systems.
On this occasion, Mr. Nghi Vinh Khanh, Head of the Department of Information Technology, shares insights on the potential applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in management and performance evaluation. He guides participants in building simple AI models tailored to the specific needs of their respective departments and integrating ChatGPT into the university’s Learning Management System (TMS). This represents a significant step forward in applying modern technology to teaching management at TVU.
Participants actively share their practical experiences in applying AI to management tasks throughout the training. Many eagerly embrace the opportunity to learn how to utilize ChatGPT effectively, engaging in lively discussions and collaborative efforts to identify optimal solutions for combining this cutting-edge technology into teaching and research activities at Tra Vinh University.
