TVU – On July 15, 2024, Prof. Dr. Narongrit Sombatsompop, President of the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI), announces the results of the scientific journal review for inclusion in the ACI system for 2024. The Tra Vinh University Journal of Science is officially indexed in the ACI database for 2024.
As of 2024, Vietnam has 30 journals indexed in ACI, including 19 journals indexed before 2023 and 11 journals newly indexed in 2024.
ACI is the citation system of the ASEAN community, established in 2011 and officially operational since 2012. ACI has approximately 217,404 articles by about 309,331 authors from 10 ASEAN countries in its database. ACI compiles scientific publications from ASEAN countries to share research results worldwide and serves as a bridge to bring scientific works of the ASEAN research community into the ISI and SCOPUS database systems.
The ACI selection criteria are rigorously developed, approaching the standards of the world’s leading citation systems. From 2024, ACI applies a new set of review criteria, including 5 Primary Criteria and 9 Secondary Criteria. The new ACI review standards emphasize academic integrity, article quality, and the reputation and influence of journals in the educational community.
