Tra Vinh University launches 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign

TVU – On July 16, Tra Vinh University’s Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign Command launches its 2024 campaign. The event is attended by Nguyen Thi Cam Huong, Deputy Secretary of Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union, university leaders, sponsors, and numerous student volunteers.

The 2024 campaign involves 46 full-time volunteers stationed in two communes (Phuoc Hung in the Tra Cu district and Long Vinh in the Duyen Hai district), 135 specialized team members, and over 3,000 part-time volunteers participating in Saturday volunteer days and Green Sundays.

With the motto of “living, eating, and working together – safely, disciplined, practically, effectively, creatively, and economically” and “loved by residents, trusted in work, remembered when leaving,” the campaign runs from July 16 to August 8. The Command sets several targets, including building a new charity house, supporting 110 youth with foreign language skills, implementing 10 innovative ideas, supporting two startup projects, and training 45 youth union members in entrepreneurship.

Additionally, the university forms nine specialized teams to carry out various youth projects, including designing and building playgrounds, promoting drowning prevention, repairing electrical equipment, providing technical training, healthcare services, English teaching, and dental care for children.

Associate Professor Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Rector and Commander of the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, expresses gratitude to sponsors and partners. He urges the Command and volunteers to understand and follow the campaign’s regulations thoroughly, maintain enthusiasm, and ensure safety throughout the campaign.
