TVU – On March 1, Tra Vinh University held the launch ceremony for Youth Month 2025, commemorating the 94th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2025). The ceremony provided an opportunity to reflect on the glorious traditions of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and encourage university students to participate in emulation movements and contribute to community activities actively.
Attending from the Youth Union and Student Association of Tra Vinh University were Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Deputy Secretary of the University’s Youth Union and Vice President of the Student Association; Pham Tuan Huy, Deputy Secretary of the University’s Youth Union, along with members of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee, and more than 150 youth union members.
In his speech launching Youth Month 2025, Nguyen Dinh Chieu emphasized the importance of dedication and enthusiasm in Youth Union activities, calling on members to study diligently, work hard, and contribute to the country’s overall development. He stressed that young people must be proactive in all activities, from education and production to community service, embodying the spirit that “where there is need, there are youth; where there is difficulty, youth will overcome.”
This month marks a period of youth action throughout the University, featuring numerous promotional and educational activities, care programs, and youth development initiatives. The campaign focuses on strengthening the Youth Union, expanding youth solidarity, and participating in Party building and political system development through key activities, including: “Volunteer Saturday”; “Green Sunday” and organizing a Youth Camp to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; planting 500 new trees; organizing a digital transformation activity for union members; launching three plastic waste prevention models; supporting youth entrepreneurship; and providing care for children and adolescents.
On this occasion, the Youth Union and Student Association of Tra Vinh University introduced three exemplary teams: the “Knowledge Plasticization” Team, the “Donate Plastic to Nurture Dreams” Team, and the “Recycled Plastic – For a Green Vietnam” Team. These teams demonstrate the members’ determination to implement environmental protection and sustainable development activities while spreading positive values throughout the community.
