Tra Vinh University launches “Youth Month, Border March” campaign 2025

(TVU) – On March 4, Tra Vinh University held the “Youth Month” and “Border March” launch ceremony at Truong Long Hoa commune, Duyen Hai town, Tra Vinh province.

The event was attended by Colonel Tran Van Oanh, Deputy Political Commissar of Tra Vinh Border Guard; Lieutenant Nguyen Van Lanh, Deputy Commander of Truong Long Hoa Port Border Station, along with officers and soldiers from the Border Station; Mrs. Cao Thi Hong Gam, Vice Chairwoman of Duyen Hai Town People’s Committee; and Nguyen Thuy Lieu, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Youth Union and Secretary of Duyen Hai Town Youth Union.

Representing Tra Vinh University Student Association was Nguyen Khanh Bao Thuy Vy, Member of the Vietnam Student Association Secretariat and Vice President of Tra Vinh University Student Association, along with 20 youth union members.

Speaking at the event, Colonel Tran Van Oanh emphasized: “The 2025 ‘Youth Month’ and ‘Border March’ with the theme ‘Tra Vinh Border Guard Youth: Resilient, Aspiring, Pioneering, and Creative’ provides an opportunity for young people to demonstrate their pioneering role in emulation movements and border protection. This is also an occasion for youth union members to participate in socio-economic development activities and contribute to national defense.”

Lieutenant Lam Chi Hai, Leader of the Armed Team at Truong Long Hoa Port Border Station, representing the youth of Tra Vinh Border Guard, expressed determination to continue harnessing youth power and efforts in learning, training, and production activities, contributing to new rural development and urban civilization advancement.

Nguyen Khanh Bao Thuy Vy, Member of the Vietnam Student Association Secretariat and Vice President of Tra Vinh University Student Association, shared: “We are proud to participate in environmental protection activities, new rural development, urban civilization building, and are committed to studying and working to contribute to border protection and sustainable development of Tra Vinh.”

    

The campaign launch is also part of the implementation of the clean-up project at the “Con Tau Weapons Reception Point” historical site (Con Trung hamlet, Truong Long Hoa commune, Duyen Hai town) and the “Let’s Clean the Sea” initiative in the coastal corridor of Khoan Tieu hamlet, Truong Long Hoa commune.
