For three consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024), Tra Vinh University (TVU) has received outstanding digital transformation awards from the Vietnam Digital Communication Association and the VietTimes Electronic Magazine. This reflects the university’s remarkable efforts and achievements in applying information technology and digital transformation across various operational areas.

Associate Professor Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, TVU’s Vice Rector, receives the 2024 outstanding digital transformation service unit award.

Besides specialized information technology software, TVU has independently developed and implemented systems specifically serving the university’s operations. These include document management systems, task assignments for officials, and integrated dormitory management systems.

Moreover, the university effectively applies personnel, training, scientific technology, financial, and asset management systems with mobile device applications. TVU has launched projects for soft skills training management and course evaluation systems. Simultaneously, the university develops E-learning lectures to enhance teaching and learning quality. Regular digital transformation training programs help lecturers and students promptly grasp new technologies.

Digital document scanning and online document storage are strongly implemented, especially by integrating digital signature functions into the university’s system, reducing paper usage, and providing additional conveniences.

TVU participates in the “SOARing to Successful Digital Transformation in Vietnamese Universities” project, a British Council-supported global partnership initiative. This project collaborates with Bournemouth University, British University in Vietnam, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics to promote digital capabilities in Vietnamese higher education.

A highlight of the university’s digital transformation is its focus on developing high-quality education and creating modern digital learning environments. TVU has established networks with domestic and international partners to update and apply the latest technological solutions continuously.

Nghi Vinh Khanh, Head of the Information Technology Department, explains that to effectively implement digital transformation linked to training quality and enhanced learning experiences, TVU has developed numerous information technology applications and digital transformation strategies incorporated into the university’s strategic plan.

The university continues to develop an integrated management information system (TMS-TVU Management System) to comprehensively manage training, research, financial, and personnel activities. TVU is standardizing and digitizing management processes, gradually implementing its own one-stop system to improve efficiency, reduce administrative procedures, and save time.

Simultaneously, the university accelerates digital education platform development, including a comprehensive Learning Management System (LMS) to manage learning content, assessment, and student progress tracking.

TVU is progressively implementing cloud computing, IoT, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data analysis to support decision-making, personalize learning experiences, and improve training quality. The university trains staff, lecturers, and students in digital skills, ensuring everyone can master and effectively utilize new technologies.

With extraordinary efforts, TVU has consecutively received outstanding digital transformation awards in 2022, 2023, and 2024. These achievements confirm the university’s position in digital transformation and contribute to enhancing educational quality and meeting society’s increasingly high demands.

However, digital transformation is a long journey requiring collective effort to maximize effectiveness. TVU will continue investing in technological infrastructure, implementing integrated applications, training faculty and students in digital skills, and developing supportive policies to enhance information technology applications and digital transformation.
