TVU – Tra Vinh University joins the annual Inter-institutional Sports Festival 2024, a dynamic event that brings together the region’s political schools, universities, and colleges. The festival, held on October 26 at Ba Dong Beach Tourist Area in Duyen Hai Town, showcases the sporting spirit and unity among educational institutions in Tra Vinh province.
Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, leads the university’s delegation alongside Mr. Nguyen Nhat Thanh, President of the Trade Union, and a team of nearly 20 faculty members and staff athletes. The university competes against three other institutions: Tra Vinh Political School, Tra Vinh Medical College, and Tra Vinh Vocational College, with over 60 athletes participating.
The festival, organized by Tra Vinh Political School in collaboration with participating institutions, serves multiple purposes: promoting physical fitness among educational staff, strengthening inter-institutional relationships, building team spirit and solidarity, and creating an engaging platform for professional networking.
“This sports festival provides an excellent opportunity for our faculty and staff to engage in healthy competition, enhance physical fitness, and foster positive relationships with colleagues from other institutions,” states Mr. Nguyen Nhat Thanh, President of Tra Vinh University’s Trade Union. “Such events contribute significantly to our overall mission of excellence in academic and professional responsibilities.”
The competition features three exciting events: Tug-of-war, Relay sack race, and Plate water relay. Tra Vinh University demonstrates strong performance in the competition, securing second place in the tug-of-war event and third place in the relay sack race.
