Tra Vinh University partners with Sokfarm to promote digital agriculture development

Tra Vinh University collaborated with Tra Vinh Farm Company Limited (Sokfarm) on May 16, 2025, to host a talk show titled “Building Vietnamese Agricultural Products on Digital Platforms” and sign a cooperation memorandum. The event brought together academic leaders, students, and industry professionals to explore modern agricultural business approaches.

Associate Professor Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, joined Mr. Pham Dinh Ngai, Chief Executive Officer of Sokfarm, along with Dr. Huynh Thi Truc Linh, Vice Dean of the College of Economics and Law, faculty members, students, and departmental representatives. During his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Diep Thanh Tung expressed admiration for Sokfarm’s brand name “Happy Farm” and its community-centered, sustainable product development philosophy. He hoped the collaboration would inspire students at the College of Economics and Law with Sokfarm’s creative spirit and humanitarian business model.

Mr. Pham Dinh Ngai shared his entrepreneurial journey of building an agricultural brand from coconut products, applying e-commerce in product distribution, and highlighting digital transformation’s role in agriculture. He provided direct career guidance, introduced job opportunities, and answered students’ questions about the industry.

Following the talkshow, both organizations signed a strategic cooperation memorandum that establishes comprehensive collaboration in training, internships, recruitment, brand promotion, and career guidance activities. Tra Vinh University commits to connecting students with suitable professional skills to meet the company’s recruitment needs while promoting Sokfarm’s brand within the student community. In return, Sokfarm will support training activities, provide students with field visits and internship opportunities, share recruitment information, offer scholarship support, and participate in research and teaching activities.

This academic-business partnership creates practical opportunities for students, particularly in logistics, e-commerce, digital transformation, and modern agricultural business. The program inspires students toward innovation, enhances their soft skills, develops positive thinking, and helps them build sustainable career development paths. The collaboration demonstrates how universities and enterprises can work together to prepare students for the evolving digital economy while supporting Vietnam’s agricultural sector transformation.
