Tra Vinh University promotes learning and talent development

TVU – In a remarkable display of commitment to education, Tra Vinh University champions learning and talent development, focusing on ethnic minority students and those facing challenging circumstances.

On December 12, Tra Vinh University awards 85 scholarships totalling 270 million VND, sponsored by an impressive consortium of supporters, including the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) – Tra Vinh Branch, Pharmacist Phan Minh Tinh, Mr. O Dan Phat, the Ho Chi Minh City Family Young Entrepreneurs Club, and Professor Tumis Savas, Academic Advisor of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

The scholarships recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and resilience during the 2024–2025 academic year. These awards not only provide critical financial assistance but also serve as a powerful motivational tool for recipients.

Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, emphasizes the importance of these scholarships. “We are deeply grateful to our sponsors,” she states. “Their support enables our students to overcome challenges and focus on their educational journey.”

Chau Hoai Khanh, a Tourism and Hospitality Management student, embodies the transformative power of these scholarships. “This support allows me and my fellow students to pursue our dreams confidently,” she explains.

The university’s scholarship initiative is a broader commitment to inclusive education. During the 2024–2025 academic year’s opening ceremony, Tra Vinh University received contributions from over 30 organizations and individuals, amassing more than 3.5 billion VND for its scholarship fund.
