(TVU) – Recently, the Community Service Center of Tra Vinh University organizes a series of activities with the message “Mobilizing community strength to achieve goals for children”, taking place from June 6 to June 30, 2025.
The activities take place within the Children’s Action Month 2025, where each individual and organization needs to promote their roles and responsibilities to protect and promote children’s comprehensive development.
With the theme “Prioritizing resources to complete goals for children,” the program emphasizes the importance of ensuring the best rights and interests for children, especially in the modern social context with many potential risks.
Accordingly, the Community Service Center organizes the “Together we see – Together we understand children” activity with the desire to approach and introduce to some schools and kindergarten teachers in the province about the early intervention support program for children with developmental disorders from the Upswing Center.
The “School bags for children to go to school” activity collects donations and gives 75 gift sets of learning supplies to disadvantaged children in remote areas at Ngu Lac A Elementary School in Duyen Hai District; Son Vong Middle School, Hiep Hoa Middle School, Hiep Hoa B Elementary School in Cau Ngang District; Luong Dinh Cua Elementary School, Nguyen Trai Elementary School, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Middle School in Tra Vinh City with a total value of 40 million VND contributed by the staff and faculty of Tra Vinh University.
Additionally, the “Together we protect bright eyes” activity implements through posters and infographics to contribute to promoting, caring for, and protecting vision for students at elementary and middle schools throughout the province.
Ms. Phung Thi Phuong Khanh, Director of the Community Service Center, states: “We promote the roles and responsibilities of staff, faculty, and students in protecting, caring for, and educating children. The practical activities support disadvantaged children, contribute to building a safe and healthy living environment, spread the message of love and unity, and build the image of Tra Vinh University for community development. At the same time, we encourage students to promote the spirit of volunteerism, contributing to the formation of character and positive life values.”
