TVU – The College of Economics and Law (Tra Vinh University) hosts a “Analyzing Challenges in the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code and Improvement Directions” seminar on December 24. The event aims to enhance teaching and research quality in the legal field, providing opportunities for lecturers, doctoral candidates, graduate students, and law students to learn from and engage with leading legal experts.
The seminar features Associate Professor Dr. Pham Minh Tuyen, former Director of the Court Academy. Representatives from the College of Economics and Law include Dr. Huynh Thi Truc Linh, Vice President; Dr. Diep Huyen Thao, Dean of Law Faculty and Director of Tra Vinh University Legal Consulting Center; Dr. Tran Thi Ngoc Hieu, Vice Dean of Law Faculty; and PhD candidate Phan Minh Gioi, Vice Dean of Law Faculty.
Dr. Huynh Thi Truc Linh emphasizes the vital role of professional activities in improving education and research quality in the legal field, particularly for law programs in the current context of development and integration.
Associate Professor Dr. Pham Minh Tuyen provides a detailed analysis of difficulties in law application and identifies areas requiring improvement to enhance criminal procedure effectiveness in practice. He discusses issues including investigation processes, rights of defendants and accused persons, and coordination among judicial agencies.
Following the presentation, attendees discuss, sharing practical perspectives, experiences, and specific solutions to improve procedural processes and protect citizens’ legal rights in trials.
