TVU – In March, Tra Vinh University and the University of Stavanger (Norway) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote activities such as faculty and student exchanges between the two institutions. They also discussed the preparations for an international conference on Law, scheduled to take place in November 2023.
The delegation from Tra Vinh University included Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Nguyen, Rector of the Faculty of Economics and Law, as well as representatives of the leadership and faculty members from the Departments of Economics, Law, and Business Administration.
Representing the University of Stavanger (Norway) were Associate Professor Dr. Lana Bubalo, Head of the Law Department, Associate Professor Dr. Jacob Ryan Adams, Law lecturer, and Associate Professor Dr. Bård Tuseth, Law lecturer.
During the meeting, both parties discussed faculty and student exchange activities. The leadership of the Faculty of Economics and Law at Tra Vinh University expressed their desire to invite experts in international justice, intellectual property law, and commercial law from the University of Stavanger to provide consultations and participate in teaching activities alongside the university’s faculty members. The delegation from the University of Stavanger agreed to the invitation and expressed their willingness to collaborate and facilitate the deployment of experts to Tra Vinh University in the near future.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both universities agreed to jointly organize an international conference in November 2023 at Tra Vinh University. They also identified the main theme of the conference and designated personnel to directly engage in related discussions and tasks.
