TVU – Tra Vinh University takes a significant step forward in international collaboration as it signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) of Indonesia. The agreement, focused on academic and scientific research cooperation, marks a new chapter in cross-border educational partnerships.
The signing ceremony, held on the afternoon of August 16, 2024, brings together key representatives from both institutions. Dr. Abdrey Andoko, Vice-Rector for Finance and General Affairs, and Dr. Friska Natalia, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, represent UMN.
TVU’s delegation includes Associate Professor Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, TVU’s Vice-Rector; Dr. Nguyen Nhut Lam, Vice-Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology; Mr. Nguyen Van Vu An, Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Dr. Vo Thi Diem Thuy, Vice Dean of the School of Management, College of Economics and Law; and Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, Chief of Office of the International Training Institute, along with other departmental leaders.
The MOU outlines several key areas of cooperation:
(1) School and student exchange programs, providing international learning and research opportunities to enhance professional capabilities and expand cooperation networks.
(2) Joint research initiatives and conference organizations focusing on cutting-edge information technology fields such as artificial intelligence and computer science.
(3) Development of training programs and joint educational offerings designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required by the evolving job market.
This formal agreement signifies a pivotal moment in the relationship between the two universities, paving the way for enhanced academic collaboration and knowledge exchange. The ceremony concludes in a solemn atmosphere, underlining the importance of this partnership for both institutions.
