Tra Vinh University signs Memorandum of Understanding with Northwest Samar State University, Philippines

TVU – On the morning of March 16, 2025, Tra Vinh University (TVU) and Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU) of the Philippines sign a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in multiple academic fields, cultural exchange, contributing to enhancing the quality of education and research for both parties.

Attending the signing ceremony from Tra Vinh University are Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, President of Tra Vinh University; Associate Professor Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice President, and representatives from various university departments. From Northwest Samar State University, attendees include Dr. Benjamin L. Pecayo, President; Dr. Rhio Dimakiling, Vice President for Administration and Finance, and representatives from different university departments.

During the meeting, both parties agree to sign a general memorandum of understanding and three specific cooperation agreements in faculty exchange, student exchange, and research collaboration. Notably, both universities have agreed to jointly organize an international scientific conference in March 2026 at NwSSU, Philippines with the theme: “From Research to Impact: Reimagining Resource Management and Governance Towards Global Sustainability.”

During their visit to Tra Vinh University from March 13 to 16, the Northwest Samar State University delegation engages in several meaningful activities, including attending the CETS 2025 International Conference, touring Tra Vinh City and Sokfarm in Tieu Can district, and participating in a cultural exchange event organized at Tra Vinh University on the evening of March 15, 2025.
