(TVU) – On the morning of September 25th, Tra Vinh University (TVU) solemnly held the opening ceremony of new academic year 2018-19 with the participation of over 1,000 TVU students and faculty members. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, TVU Rector and distinguished guests to be Tra Vinh provincial senior leaders, enterprises and international experts attended this big event.
Addressing at the ceremony, the Rector congratulated and welcomed all the new students to Tra Vinh University. He highlighted the remarkable achievements in teaching and learning during last year thanks to the strong determination and efforts of the lecturers and students. He committed to continue to improve research and teaching-learning quality, and continue to focus on enterprise engagement to create more job opportunities to students after their graduation.
On behalf of all the new students, Huynh Thi Hong Cam expressed her happiness when becoming a TVU student. “I will make efforts to study well to get a good job after graduation”, said she.
Taking this opportunity, domestic and foreign sponsor representatives offered 125 scholarship awards with the total sum of 510 million VND to TVU students.
