TVU – On September 6, 2024, a delegation from the Svay Rieng Provincial Health Department, Kingdom of Cambodia, visits Tra Vinh University (TVU) to discuss cooperation in training high-quality human resources for Svay Rieng province.
The delegation, led by Dr. Kuch Sitha, Director of Svay Rieng Provincial Health Department, is welcomed by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University, Dr. Ngo So Phe, Rector of the College of Southern Khmer Language – Culture – Art and Humanities (CLASKA), and representatives from the International Admissions Unit.
During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa highlights TVU’s role as a gateway for international cooperation in economics, culture, education, and tourism, as the Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Committee assigned. He expresses the university’s desire to maintain and strengthen connections with the Svay Rieng Provincial Health Department in recruitment and human resource training.
Dr. Kuch Sitha thanks TVU’s leadership for offering Cambodian students 02 health science scholarships. He praises the university’s facilities and training quality, particularly in health science-related fields. He believes the cooperation between the two institutions will contribute significantly to developing quality human resources in Svay Rieng province and Cambodia. The Health Department pledges full support for TVU’s efforts to expand training cooperation, recruitment, and partnerships with hospitals in Svay Rieng province.
Tra Vinh University plans to continue collaborating with the Svay Rieng Health Department in career counseling and student recruitment and implement various training programs. TVU is considering offering partial and full scholarships to students from Svay Rieng province based on the friendly exchange between the two institutions.
This visit marks an important step in strengthening international educational cooperation and underscores TVU’s commitment to contributing to developing skilled healthcare professionals in the region. The partnership is expected to foster closer ties between Vietnam and Cambodia in higher education and healthcare training.
