TVU – Tra Vinh University hosts a significant event on October 14, 2024, welcoming representatives from the University of Houston, USA, and Talented Minds Agency (TMA), Australia, for a scholarship award ceremony. The event highlights TVU’s commitment to supporting talented students facing financial challenges.
The ceremony sees the distribution of scholarships totaling 50 million VND to ten deserving TVU students who have demonstrated academic excellence despite difficult circumstances. This generous initiative aims to recognize and support students with resilience and outstanding academic performance.
The event is graced by distinguished international guests, including Dr. Ji Chen from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Houston, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hien from the University of Houston, and Ms. Nguyen Vu Hong Hanh, Director of TMA. Dr. David Nghiem and Dr. Thomas Vaughan, visiting professors at TVU, also attended.
Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of TVU, leads the university’s delegation, accompanied by Dr. Vo Phuoc Hung, Head of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, and other university leaders.
The ceremony is a platform for exploring collaborative opportunities between TVU and its international partners, particularly in engineering and technology.
