Tra Vinh University students shine in 33rd Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad

TVU – From December 10 to 13, 2024, Tra Vinh University demonstrates the technological prowess at Hanoi’s 33rd Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad. Organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Information Technology Association, Vietnam Student Association, and Hanoi University of Industry, the competition brings together 87 universities, colleges, and academies nationwide.

The comprehensive olympiad features multiple competitive categories, including 108 students in the Individual Super Cup category, 235 students in the Individual IT major category, 95 students in the Individual non-IT major category, 2 college competition participants, 18 teams with 51 students in the Open Source Software category, 20 teams with 43 students in Procon Vietnam Programming.

The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia Hanoi 2024 segment further elevates the competition’s prestige, featuring 137 Vietnamese teams with 411 students and 20 international teams from prestigious universities in Singapore, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Taiwan.

Tra Vinh University’s Olympic team, comprising seven exceptional students from the Information Technology program, makes a notable impact: Duong Van Hiep (IT Class B, 2021), Vo Tan Phat (IT Class D, 2023), Le Trung Hieu (IT Class A, 2023), Tran Minh Dien (IT Class A, 2022), Dinh Tan Tai (IT Class B, 2021), Pham Huu Loc (IT Class B, 2021), Nguyen Dinh Tri (IT Class B, 2021).

The competition highlights Tra Vinh University’s commitment to technological education, with student Le Trung Hieu securing an Encouragement Prize in the Individual IT major category.
