Each year, thousands of students across Vietnam choose Tra Vinh University as their place to learn and develop. Guided by the mission “Bringing quality learning opportunities to the community” and the core values “Dedication, Transparency, Friendliness, Creativity”, the university continues to strengthen its position through international quality accreditations such as FIBBA, AUN-QA, and ABET.
New students and their parents complete enrollment procedures quickly and conveniently. During admission, the university provides digitalized processes with clear instructions, supported by volunteers who guide students through class schedules, English placement tests, dormitory registration, tuition payment, and profile updates. Staff answer questions thoroughly, while QR codes and online registration reduce waiting time. Comfortable waiting areas for students and parents also create a friendly atmosphere from the very beginning.

Dormitory and safe housing network
The university dormitory accommodates 3,500 students across five buildings, with separate areas for male and female students. Rooms are fully equipped with bunk beds, wardrobes, study desks, fans, lighting, and internet. The dormitory campus also features sports areas for badminton, volleyball, basketball, running, and outdoor exercise equipment, along with green spaces for relaxation and social activities.
For off-campus students, the university cooperates with local authorities to survey and recommend safe, affordable boarding houses, updating reliable lists every year to ensure security and peace of mind for parents and students.
Reducing financial burden
Between 2021 and 2025, the university provides tuition exemptions, learning equipment support, social allowances, and merit scholarships to more than 13,110 students, worth over VND 60.7 billion. In addition, many scholarships from organizations, businesses, and individuals encourage students to overcome challenges in their studies.
New students with outstanding achievements in the entrance exam receive awards of VND 7–10 million, recognizing their efforts. The university also fully exempts tuition fees and provides monthly living allowances of VND 450,000 for students of Traditional Musical Instrument Performance, and grants partial tuition reductions for programs such as Cultural Studies, Music Studies, and Khmer Language.
Female students enrolling in engineering and technology fields—including civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, automation, and automotive technology—receive scholarships covering up to 50% of tuition. Others, such as Applied Chemistry, receive 30%. From 2025, full first-year tuition scholarships are offered for students in majors including Plant Protection, Chemical Engineering Technology, Social Work, Pharmaceuticals, Public Health, Biotechnology, Political Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mechatronics, and Environmental Engineering.
Scholarships also support students in Business Administration and Information Technology (English-integrated program), with a 50% reduction starting from the second semester. The university further provides financial support for exchange students, with up to VND 10 million depending on the destination.
In addition, policies encourage innovation and entrepreneurship, offering financial support of up to VND 50 million for feasible startup projects, VND 10 million for new enterprises or cooperatives, workspace assistance, consulting, training, and intellectual property registration support. With the collaboration of businesses and organizations, TVU’s student startup movement continues to grow and generate real value for society.
Strong connection with businesses
Tra Vinh University actively connects with businesses through co-op training programs, job fairs, partnership agreements, career counseling, and on-site recruitment. These activities demonstrate the university’s commitment to improving training quality while aligning with labor market demands and providing strong career prospects for graduates.
By expanding co-op programs, the university and enterprises collaborate from career orientation and admission counseling to designing training curricula. Students gain real work experience at businesses as employees during their studies, which helps them adapt quickly to the workplace after graduation.
With its philosophy of being “Dedicated – Transparent – Friendly – Creative”, Tra Vinh University’s care and timely support help new students and their families ease financial and personal challenges, ensuring they quickly settle into university life and embark on their academic journey with confidence.
