In the morning of April 26th, 2012, over 230 students and staffs of TVU led by Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – Rector of TVU attended the 20th anniversary of re- forming Tra Vinh Province (May, 1992 – May, 2012) and the 37th of Southern Liberation held at Tra Vinh stadium.
Tra Vinh University was given the mission of training human resources for the local by Tra Vinh People’s Committee. During the past ten years, TVU with the model of Community College became a center of training human resources for Tra Vinh and played an important role to the development of its hometown. In recent years , many engineers and bachelors were trained at TVU meeting the social needs and serving the need of scientific research in Tra Vinh Province and some neighboring regions in the Mekong Delta.
At the ceremony, with a car decorated its achievements, TVU along with other units in the province marched around the stadium to show the development of Tra Vinh province in the past twenty years.
