Tra Vinh University welcomes new VACC Institute office opening on Campus 1

On June 19, 2025, leaders of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences and Community Service (VIES) under the Vietnam Association of Community Colleges (VACC) inaugurated their working office within Tra Vinh University’s campus (Room A11.116, Building A1, Campus I). The entire Board of Directors of Tra Vinh University, including Rector Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa and Vice Rectors Associate Professor Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, and Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, attended and congratulated the opening.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Community Colleges signed the decision to establish the Institute of Educational Sciences and Community Service in early 2025, and the Ministry of Science and Technology issued Certificate of Registration for Science and Technology Activities No. A-2770 on April 14, 2025.

The institute operates in science and technology fields, including scientific research and implementation of projects, programs, and initiatives in education, science technology, and community service for sustainable development. The institute also develops teaching methods and community education programs, provides consulting services, technology transfer, organizes scientific conferences and workshops, promotes knowledge dissemination, and conducts professional development training for communities. It collaborates with domestic and international organizations and individuals to fulfill the institute’s mission. The VIES Management Council comprises experts from various fields such as economics, medicine, engineering, and education who work at educational institutions across the country.

After the office opening ceremony, VIES representatives introduced the institute’s functions and duties to Tra Vinh University’s Board of Directors. They expressed hope that Tra Vinh University, with its management system, partner network, and existing facilities and equipment, will support and facilitate VIES’s effective and practical operations. Rector Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa expressed joy that the VIES office opening coincides with the 19th anniversary of Tra Vinh University’s establishment. He hopes that both organizations will engage in many collaborative and mutually supportive activities for the common development of the community, the VACC association, and both institutions.
