Tra Vinh University welcomes teachers and students from Preah Sisowath High School (Kingdom of Cambodia)

TVU – On September 27 and 28, Tra Vinh University welcomed a delegation of teachers and students from Preah Sisowath High School in Phnom Penh, the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia, to experience and learn about the training programs at Tra Vinh University.
 

The visiting delegation included Mr. Sam KamSann, Vice Principal of Preah Sisowath High School, along with teachers and 36 students.

Tra Vinh University representatives included Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, and Associate Professor Dr. Chau Thi Hoang Hoa, Director of International Cooperation Office and Director of King Sejong Institute for Korean Culture and Language. Dr. Vo Phuoc Hung, Principal of the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), also attended, along with representatives from various university units.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, provided an overview of the university’s formation and development. She also provided information about training programs, learning environment, facilities, and support policies for international students. Additionally, representatives from the College of Economics and Law (CEL) and the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) introduced two English-taught programs in Information Technology and Business Administration, presenting scholarship opportunities and international admission information for the university’s training programs.

Responding, Mr. Sam KamSann, Vice Principal of Preah Sisowath High School, expressed appreciation for the warm welcome from Tra Vinh University. He praised the university’s efforts in building a quality learning environment that welcomes international students and expressed confidence that this will become an ideal study destination for Cambodian students.

     

On the same morning, the student delegation participated in experiential activities at the College of Khmer Southern Language-Culture-Arts and Humanities (CLASKA), gaining a more realistic view of the university environment. In the following days, the delegation continued to participate in a series of experiential activities including visiting the Faculty of Agriculture and Aquaculture, the experimental area and wax coconut garden, tasting wax coconut specialties, playing friendly football matches and cultural exchanges with students from TVU’s Pedagogical Practice High School, and meeting with Cambodian and Lao international students currently studying at Tra Vinh University.

This activity strengthens exchanges and expands cooperative relationships in education while creating opportunities for international students to receive more guidance information when choosing their university learning environment.
