(TVU) – On the evening of October 13, at Tra Vinh University, the Provincial Women’s Union cooperated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tra Vinh province to hold an Ao Dai Fashion Show with the theme “Respecting the value of Ao dai and Vietnamese women’s beauty.”
The program attracted the participation of hundreds of contestants who are union members, officers, and students in Tra Vinh province as well as the support of a large number of audiences. According to the Organization Board, there were 19 teams participating in this year’s show.
The candidates performed in Ao dai fashion and answered behavioral interview questions related to the beauty and cultural value of Vietnamese Ao dai in the form of stage performance in the teams. Each team had seven members participating in the demonstration. Then, the team’s representative chose randomly and answered the jury’s questions.
This year, Tra Vinh University has three teams participating in the Ao dai fashion show. In which, one team won the second prize. Candidate Nguyen Thi Hong Gam, the representative of Tra Vinh university team, said that: “The show is a place for women to exchange and learn experience from each other, especially to show the audience the pictures and the beauty of traditional Ao dai and to honor the beauty of Vietnamese women as well.”
The organization board awarded one first prize, one second prize, one third prize, and two consolation prizes. In which, the first prize belonged to the Labor Confederation of Tra Vinh city; the second prize belonged to the Trade Union of Tra Vinh University and the Labor Confederation of Tra Vinh city, and the third prize was awarded to the Women’s Union of Cau Ke district and Health Trade Union.
Ao Dai fashion show 2020 is one of the typical activities on the occasion of celebrating Vietnamese Women’s Day 20/10 and celebrating the 11th Congress of Party Committee of Tra Vinh province.
