TVU – On July 16, Tra Vinh University works with Kun Shan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan) to discuss and implement an international cooperation program in the field of human resource training.

The delegation from Kun Shan University of Science and Technology is led by Mr. Phung Khoi Hong, Executive Director of the International Cooperation Office, and Ms. Vu Thu Uyen, INTENSE Program Manager at the same office.

Representing Tra Vinh University are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Rector of the university, along with representatives from the Institute of International Training, the International Cooperation Department, and the Project Promotion Department.

The meeting focuses on discussing future cooperation directions between the two universities, particularly the implementation of the International Industrial Talents Education Special Program (INTENSE Program). This program aims to recruit, train, and support students from Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines, starting in 2024, to study in Taiwan. The objective is to enhance their professional capacity and facilitate stronger integration into the international working environment.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung emphasizes that the partnership with Kun Shan University of Science and Technology not only creates opportunities for students to study abroad in an international setting, but also offers access to advanced and modern academic programs. He expresses hope that the INTENSE Program serves as a crucial bridge, empowering TVU students to upgrade their qualifications and develop essential skills for working in a global context.

Mr. Phung Khoi Hong also expresses his strong interest in promoting close cooperation between the two institutions. He commits to building a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership, with a particular focus on supporting student development. He also shares plans to organize an online training course in August for lecturers from the Chinese Language Department at Tra Vinh University. Following this, TVU plans to open a formal training program and begin recruiting students to participate in the teaching initiative.
