From the College of Economics and Law (CEL), attendees included Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Nguyen, Rector of the College of Economics and Law; Dr. Huynh Thi Truc Linh and Dr. Nguyen Tan Dat, Vice Rectors of the College of Economics and Law.

In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Nguyen, Rector of the College of Economics and Law (CEL), expressed gratitude to all staff, lecturers, students, and parents who have accompanied and contributed to the school’s development throughout the past academic year. He emphasized that today’s achievements result from the persistent efforts, solidarity, and sense of responsibility of the entire College of Economics and Law community.
The College of Economics and Law was established through the merger and development of the Faculty of Economics and Law and the Faculty of State Management – Office Administration, under Tra Vinh University. Currently, the college offers 31 programs across 20 major codes at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels, including 9 undergraduate majors, 7 master’s programs, and 4 doctoral programs.
As of June 2025, CEL has 2,440 students, including 1,987 full-time undergraduate students, 257 graduate students, 23 doctoral candidates, and 173 part-time and second-degree students. According to a survey conducted at the beginning of 2025, the employment rate for graduates reaches 81%, while the remainder continue their studies or seek job opportunities.

Speaking at the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Diep Thanh Tung from Tra Vinh University acknowledged and praised the achievements that CEL has accomplished. He suggested that the college continue to innovate training programs by connecting them with practical reality, promote scientific research, advance digital transformation in management, develop international cooperation, and emphasize the application of the Cooperative Education (Co-op) model in teaching to improve human resource quality and better meet labor market demands.
The conference recorded many contributing opinions and practical solutions to improve training quality, expand connections with the business community in training, enhance students’ career experiences, and activities related to scientific research among students and lecturers.

At the conference, CEL proudly received FIBAA international quality re-accreditation certificates for five training programs: Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Economics, and Office Administration. This marks a milestone in the college’s continuous efforts to improve training quality according to international standards.

On this occasion, the college also honored many staff and lecturers with innovative and creative teaching models, and recognized outstanding groups and individual students for their excellent achievements in the 2024-2025 academic year. Among them, 151 students who achieved good and excellent grades in the first semester received study encouragement scholarships and certificates of merit, with a total scholarship value of 1,482,864,800 VND.
