Tra Vinh University’s College of Medicine and Pharmacy awards degrees to 404 new graduates

TVU – On September 6, 2025, the College of Medicine and Pharmacy (CMP) at Tra Vinh University holds its third graduation ceremony of the year, awarding degrees to over 400 new bachelors, doctors, pharmacists, and medical technicians. The formal event marks a significant milestone in the graduates’ journey toward serving public health.

The ceremony welcomes representatives from health agencies, central and local hospitals, medical experts, lecturers, academic advisors, and leaders from partner educational institutions, alongside the leadership of Tra Vinh University and the CMP.

In her speech, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University, congratulates the new graduates and emphasizes the vital role of the health sciences sector in protecting and improving people’s quality of life. She notes that the degrees they receive today represent years of dedicated study and a commitment to their profession and the community, reflecting a spirit of practicing with heart and responsibility.

Prof. Dr. Ta Van Tram, Rector of the College of Medicine and Pharmacy, also extends his congratulations and commends the students’ relentless efforts throughout their studies. He states that their diplomas are a testament to their academic achievements, character, and maturity. This degree will serve as valuable preparation for them to enter the workforce and contribute their knowledge, skills, and medical ethics to society.

Throughout their studies, students receive application-oriented training that combines theory with hands-on practice at hospitals and medical centers inside and outside the province. This practical training model helps students develop strong professional competencies, preparing them to adapt to the demanding and professional environment of the medical field.

This graduation cohort includes a total of 404 students from various fields, including Odonto-Stomatology, Pharmacy, Nursing, Preventive Medicine, Public Health, Rehabilitation Techniques, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Medical Imaging Technology. Additionally, 67 general practitioners are continuing with specialized training programs at the university.

Representing the graduates, Le Thuy Hang, a student from the 2021-2025 Nursing cohort, expresses profound gratitude to her lecturers, clinical instructors, and the patients who have supported them on their academic journey. Thuy Hang affirms that every class and clinical shift has been a valuable challenge, helping students grow stronger both professionally and personally.

With over 13 years of development, the College of Medicine and Pharmacy at Tra Vinh University has trained nearly 3,000 doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and medical technicians, making a significant contribution to developing a high-quality health workforce for the Mekong Delta and the entire country. The third graduation ceremony of 2025 further solidifies the university’s reputation and social responsibility in education and public healthcare.
