TVU – Tra Vinh University’s Board of Dormitory Management conducts an orientation visit on September 19 for 25 new Cambodian students from the 2024 cohort and Cambodian and Lao students from previous years residing there. The visit aims to familiarize the international students with the dormitory’s rules and regulations.
Deputy Head Nguyen Duy, representing the Dormitory Management Board of Tra Vinh University and other board members, provides the international students with essential information. This includes contract registration, renewal, termination procedures, and temporary residence registration for foreigners in Vietnam. The board explains the dormitory’s rules and the use of the student management system and guides students on reporting damages, requesting repairs, and paying for dormitory services. Students are also briefed on security measures, fire prevention protocols, curfew times, and available recreational activities.
The orientation session covers regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training regarding international student management and Tra Vinh University’s policies on accommodation fee exemptions and reductions for international students. In collaboration with Vietcombank’s Tra Vinh branch, the Board of Dormitory Management facilitates opening bank accounts for the 25 new international students.

He states, “The dormitory provides an excellent living environment with clean rooms. The teachers and fellow students are amiable and ready to offer advice and support. On behalf of all international students, I pledge to adhere to the university and dormitory regulations and commit to studying diligently to complete our programs on schedule.”
