Tra Vinh University’s Party Committee accompanies partner communes in building new-style rural areas

TVU – On September 21, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Member of the Party Committee, Vice-Rector of the University, and a delegation granted 50 health insurance cards to disadvantaged students and people, 2 projectors and 6 desktop computers to Phong Thanh commune (Cau Ke district) and Truong Long Hoa commune (Duyen Hai town) worth nearly VND 150 million.

These are two communes sponsored by Tra Vinh University’s Party Committee, implementing Directive 07 of the Provincial Party Committee on continuing to strengthen leadership and direction in carrying out sponsorship activities to help communes develop and breakthrough through the trend of integration and development.

Dr. Thach Thi Dan said that Tra Vinh University’s Party Committee always accompanies the sponsored communes on the basis of the university’s potential, and proposes long-term, strategic solutions to help build breakthroughs in the future.

Through the proposed support needs, the University counsels and coordinates with relevant units to propose providing equipment, sharing experiences, transferring technology, and appropriate social security to help the communes soon complete their development goals, especially further building and completing new rural criteria.

On this occasion, the leaders of Phong Thanh and Truong Long Hoa communes thanked Tra Vinh University’s leaders for accompanying the communes over the past time. The units pledged to use the support sources effectively and apply the university’s transfers to agricultural production and technology to improve people’s lives, and socio-economy, and become a model of new rural areas.
