(TVU) – On December 9, 2019, Tra Vinh University continued to receive the quality accreditation based on AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance) for two more undergraduate programs including Aquaculture and Veterinary which were assessed in last October.
Along with the two internationally accredited programs, in last November, TVU was eligible to be offered the two certificates of the quality recognition by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA).
The new set of criteria of quality assessment issued by Ministry of Education and Training includes 25 standards with 111 criteria, according to four areas including strategic quality assurance, system quality assurance, quality assurance on performing functions (training, scientific research, community service), and performance results.
The four degree programs accredited by FIBAA include accounting, business administration, economics, and finance – banking.
Up to present, TVU has had six training programs to be accredited based on international quality accreditation standards. Furthermore, the university commits to gradually standardize training programs based on international quality. Namely, TVU is planning to be assessed on the programs of engineering and technology based on ABET standards.
ASEAN University Network (AUN)
ASEAN University Network (AUN) recognizes the importance of quality in higher education, and the need to develop a holistic quality assurance system to raise academic standards and enhance education, research and service among its member universities. In 1998, it mooted the AUN-QA Network which led to the development of AUN-QA models. Since then, the network has been promoting, developing, and implementing quality assurance practices based on an empirical approach where quality assurance practices are tested, evaluated, improved and shared.
FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation)
FIBAA is a nationally as well as internationally experienced non-profit agency for quality assurance. Customer-oriented, efficient, fast and flexible work are some of its trademarks. FIBAA is accredited by the German Accreditation Council since 2000 (re-accreditation in 2005, 2007, 2012 and 2017, respectively for 5 years).
