TVU – On January 20, in celebration of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026) and in preparation for the Bính Ngọ Lunar New Year, a delegation from Tra Vinh University is organizing a series of gratitude and community outreach activities in Phong Thanh Commune (formerly under Cầu Kè District). The program includes visits to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and the presentation of gifts to disadvantaged families in the locality.
The delegation is received by Mr. Diêu Hùng Thắng, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Phong Thanh Commune, and Ms. Nguyễn Thị Nhiền, Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Phong Thanh Commune.
The Tra Vinh University delegation includes Dr. Thạch Thị Dân, Vice Rector; Ms. Quách Thị Vũ Huệ, Head of the Party Committee’s Publicity and Mass Mobilization Division; and representatives of the university’s affiliated units.

During the visit, the delegation is paying tribute to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyễn Thị Sỵ and is presenting her with gifts. On this occasion, Dr. Thạch Thị Dân and delegation members are extending warm regards, inquiring about her health and living conditions, and expressing deep gratitude for her significant sacrifices and contributions to the cause of national liberation.
The delegation is also offering incense and visiting the family of the late Vietnamese Heroic Mother Thạch Thị An, demonstrating the tradition of “remembering the source of our blessings” and contributing to the education of revolutionary values among the university’s staff, lecturers, and students in the cause of national construction and defense.

Same day, Tra Vinh University, in coordination with local authorities, is organizing a Spring gift-giving program for disadvantaged policy families, presenting 30 gift packages with a total value of VND 15,000,000. The funding is being mobilized to provide timely encouragement, share hardships, and support the material and spiritual well-being of disadvantaged families in the locality during the Lunar New Year.
