TVU – On April 12, TVU organizes the 2026 TVU Open Fitness Competition to celebrate the 115th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s departure for national salvation and the 25th anniversary of TVU. The event attracts a large number of delegates, lecturers, more than 1,000 students, and 16 contestants from various units.
The competition gathers experienced experts, coaches, and judges in bodybuilding, including Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, Head Coach of the Vietnam National Bodybuilding Team and Head of the Jury, along with international and national judges such as Mr. Cao Minh Tuan, Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen Phi, Ms. Huynh Thi Thu Thuy, Mr. Lam Van Cong, Mr. Le Huu Nhan, Mr. Mai Thanh Sang, Mr. Phan Quoc Huy, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong.
Representing the Youth Union and Student Association of TVU are Ms. Pham Le Phuong Thao, Secretary of the Youth Union and President of the Student Association, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union and Vice President of the Student Association, Mr. Lam Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, and Mr. Nguyen Minh Hien, Vice President of the Student Association.
The competition creates a healthy and practical playground for students after study hours while promoting physical training movements and encouraging a modern and active lifestyle within the university environment.

Ms. Pham Le Phuong Thao emphasizes that the competition provides an environment for students to build willpower and resilience, aiming for balanced physical and mental development, while spreading the spirit of physical training inspired by President Ho Chi Minh.

After the opening ceremony, contestants compete in main categories including Bodybuilding, Sports Physique over 1.65 meters, and Sports Physique under 1.65 meters. Participants demonstrate strong preparation in physique, technique, and confident performance on stage, creating an energetic atmosphere with enthusiastic support from the audience.

In the men’s bodybuilding category, Hua Ty Phuc from College of Medicine and Pharmacy (CMP) wins first prize, followed by Tran Trong Triet from CMP and Tran The Dinh from College of Economics and Law (CEL). In the sports physique category under 1.65 meters, Duong Tuan Kiet from Le Quy Don High School wins first prize, followed by Bui Xuan Quy from CEL and Cao Minh Tam from Le Quy Don High School. In the sports physique category over 1.65 meters, Nguyen Tuan Kha from College of Engineering and Technology (CET) wins first prize, followed by Le Truong Huy and Vo Tran Hoang Qui from CEL.

The award ceremony recognizes outstanding contestants, honoring their discipline, effort, and sportsmanship. The 2026 TVU Open Fitness Competition contributes to promoting physical training and building the image of dynamic, confident, and globally integrated TVU students.
