TVU – Tra Vinh University takes a significant step towards international education by organizing a comprehensive Taiwan study abroad information session on November 21. The event draws over 100 university and local high school students, offering an illuminating gateway to academic opportunities in Taiwan.
The event is graced by the presence of Dr. Ho-Hsien Chen, Director of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in HCMC; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lai, Senior Specialist; Mr. Chuong Chi Cuong, Specialist; Dr. Nguyen Huy Thong, Deputy Director of the International Education Institute; and several representatives from the Department of International Collaboration, the Department of Project Promotion, and other departments of Tra Vinh University.
In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Huy Thong highlights the increasing trend of students pursuing higher education abroad, particularly in Taiwan, due to its exceptional education quality and peaceful living environment. He hopes this study abroad info session will broaden the horizons of Tra Vinh students and encourage them to step beyond their limits and pursue studies in a new country.
Later, Mr. Ho-Hsien introduces Taiwan’s education system and the academic, cultural, and social benefits of studying in Taiwan. He emphasizes the desire to collaborate with Tra Vinh University to foster educational development and academic exchange between the two sides.
The event also features alumni who have studied in Taiwan, sharing insights into learning and living there. They address students’ questions about academic and career opportunities in Taiwan.
Organized by Tra Vinh University and the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in HCMC, the Taiwan study abroad info session is a valuable opportunity for lecturers, students, and high school students in Tra Vinh to access information about education programs, culture, and scholarships in Taiwan. It aims to pave the way for international study opportunities for the future generation.
