TVU – On March 18, 2024, a group of graduate students majoring in Education Management from Tra Vinh University (TVU), Vietnam led by Dr. Nguyen Huy Thong, Deputy Director of International Education Institute (IEI), engaged in an Immersion Program at Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), Philippines.
The delegation received a warm welcome from Dr. Jude A. Duarte – SLSU President, the three Vice Presidents: Dr. Annabelle Hufalar, Dr. Dewoo Porras Baclayon, and Dr. Constantino Medilo, department heads from various units of SLSU.
The welcoming meeting with warmth and hospitality highlighted the close and long-lasting relationship between TVU and SLSU. At the meeting, Dr. Jude A. Duarte gratefully recalled the early establishment and increasingly stronger partnership between the two universities. In addition, he expressed his pleasure in welcoming the graduate students from TVU to the cultural and academic exchange activities at SLSU.

Dr. Nguyen Huy Thong, Deputy Director of the International Education Institute expressed his gratitude to SLSU for facilitating and supporting the Immersion Program for cultural and professional enrichment. The program is expected to provide Master of Arts in Education students with a holistic experience encompassing a dynamic blend of academic and cultural immersion.
This marks the second batch of outbound exchange students from TVU to SLSU, following a successful exchange in July 2023. In the current era of globalization and international integration among higher education institutions, this practical learning experience plays a significant importance in enhancing the quality of education for graduate students in Education Management and fostering the successful partnership between SLSU and TVU.
