The “Student Intelligent Technology” competition is for students from universities, colleges, and institutes across the country, aiming to improve students’ skills in researching, creating, developing and manufacturing practical automated products. The competition is organized by the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Student Support and Development Center and Canon Vietnam Company. Tra Vinh University’s participation includes 5 members from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, with the entry being an automatic envelope folding device.
According to the competition regulations, participating teams have to design and manufacture automated products as required by the Organizing Committee, with this year’s theme being manufacturing automatic envelope folding devices. Outstanding products are selected to participate in the online voting round, exhibition round and final round of the “Student Intelligent Technology” competition to be held in Hanoi in November 2023.
On behalf of Tra Vinh University’s contestant group, student Tran Huu Nhan shared: The jury directly evaluated our product idea, while giving comments on the design and technical structure for us to improve the product. We hope to be selected to participate in the final round to continue the successes of senior students in 2022.
Ms. Pham Le Phuong Thao, Secretary of Tra Vinh University Youth Union, said the “Student Intelligent Technology” competition is an attractive and useful technology playground for Vietnamese students in general and Tra Vinh University students in particular. The competition provides opportunities for students to exchange with skilled engineers and experts in the field of technology, and discuss and learn from each other to improve professional skills. Apart from attractive prizes (First prize of 30 million VND), the Organizing Committee will award equipment kits for learning and scientific research to actively participating schools to create intelligent technology products and mechanical products for students.
