TVU – Tra Vinh University strengthens position in legal education as over 80 law majors participate in the 11th “TVU Youth and Law” competition, hosted by the College of Economics and Law on October 23 and 24, 2024.
Distinguished attendees include Dr. Nguyen Tan Dat, Vice Dean of the College of Economics and Law, Dr. Nguyen Minh Trung, Head of the Department of Legality Affairs, and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union and Vice President of the Student Association, alongside department heads and center directors from TVU’s College of Economics and Law.
“This signature event exemplifies TVU’s commitment to practical legal education, offering students a platform to enhance their legal understanding and develop professional skills essential for their future careers,” says Dr. Nguyen Tan Dat.
Sixteen teams compete in two challenging segments: a comprehensive legal knowledge test and a talent showcase. The competition covers crucial topics ranging from Party and State policies to contemporary social issues, including marriage law violations, domestic violence, labor rights, traffic safety, and crime prevention.
Team Law B, Class of 2024, emerges victorious with the First Prize. The Commercial Law team (Class of 2022) and Civil Law team (Class of 2023) secure Second Prize positions. Third Prize honors go to the Civil Law team (Class of 2022), Criminal Law team (Class of 2021), and Law team (Class of 2022). The Legal Club team, Law A team (Class of 2024), and Criminal Law team (Class of 2023) receive Encouragement Prizes. Tran Hoang Nhan stands out with the Best Actor award.
The success of this competition underscores the strength of TVU’s FIBAA-accredited Law program, which combines a research-oriented curriculum with practical legal applications. The program’s comprehensive approach integrates law, social sciences, politics, IT, and foreign languages, preparing graduates who meet industry demands and stakeholder expectations.
With this annual competition, Tra Vinh University continues demonstrating its dedication to nurturing the next generation of legal professionals through practical, hands-on learning experiences that bridge academic theory with real-world application.
