TVU students win the 31st Vietnam Olympiad in Informatics

This contest, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Association for Information Processing, and the Vietnam National Union of Students, holding at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education from December 6th to 9th, 2022.

Participating in this year’s contest, the Informatics Olympiad Team of Tra Vinh University has 6 students participating in the individual computing division, the individual non-computing division, and the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). Dương Văn Hiệp, a class B student majoring in information technology at Tra Vinh University in 2021, win the consolation prize in the individual computing division.

Cao Ka Ka, a student in the class of 2020 majoring in information technology at Tra Vinh University, shared: “This contest is an intellectual playground for students who are passionate and knowledgeable about the field of informatics to compete together. Besides, it is also an opportunity to exchange and learn about information technology across the country as well as the region. Moreover, I gain new experiences for myself.”

It is known that the contest has over 500 students competing in Olympiad and Procon, and 396 students (132 teams) participating in the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia – Asia Ho Chi Minh City, 2022 this year. This year, there are nearly 200 participating teams, with 7 teams from Southeast Asian countries taking part in the competition.
