TVU – The TVU Winner team wins third prize in the 2023 Student Intelligence Technology Competition with the theme of manufacturing automatic envelope folding devices.
The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, in collaboration with the Center for Support and Development of Vietnamese Students and Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd., organizes on December 8 the Final Round of the 2023 Student Intelligence Technology competition in Hanoi.
The Student Intelligence Technology competition is for students from universities, colleges, and institutes across the country. The competition aims to improve students’ skills in researching, creating, developing, and manufacturing practical automated products.
Upon its six-month nationwide launch, the 2023 Student Intelligence Technology Competition has drawn attention from 120 teams of engineering students from universities, colleges, and institutions who enjoy inventing and manufacturing. The top 21 teams are selected by the jury to advance to the championship round.
21 teams showcase their concepts and finished devices during the final round. In front of judges from the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Science and Technology, as well as technical directors and specialists, they showcase their creative skills, their presentation skills, and their ability to apply experience and knowledge to their products.
At the conclusion of the event, the Organizing Committee presents 01 First Prize, 02 Second Prizes, 03 Third Prizes, and online voting awards to the teams with the best performances. The total value of the prizes goes up to 136 million VND.
Team “TVU Winner” from Tra Vinh University, including five students from the School of Engineering and Technology—Tran Huu Nhan, Huynh Quy Duy, Nguyen Hoang An, Chau Nhi Thai, and Thach Minh Trong—excellently impresses the jury and brings home the third prize.
According to Ms. Pham Le Phuong Thao, Standing Member of the Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union, Secretary of the TVU Youth Union, and President of the TVU Student Association, the Student Intelligence Technology competition is an engaging and practical technological playground for students. Students will get the chance to connect with experienced engineers and technology specialists, expand their knowledge base, and perfect their professional skills.
Student Tran Huu Nhan, representing of the Tra Vinh University team, states that their teachers provided them with passionate guidance in eveluating their idea and gave them direct advice on how to improve the product’s design and technological structure so they could get the opportunity to compete in the final round of the competition. Moreover, they would want to express their gratitude to the leaders of Tra Vinh University for setting up the best conditions so that they could give their all and share their knowledge with students around the country.
