VACC signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the implementation of the construction human resource training project with the Japan Furniture Association

On the morning of July 21, 2023, at the Office of the Vietnam Association of Community Colleges (VACC), VACC held a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Japan Furniture Association (JIDA).

Attending the ceremony on the side of VACC were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – Chairman of the Association; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha – Member of the Executive Board of the Association – Director of the CATD Accreditation Center, Mr. Le Trieu Hoang Trung – Director of Lam Vien Truong Company, and representatives of members and staff of the Office of the Vietnam Community Colleges Association.

On the side of JIDA, there was the attendance of Mr. Shizu Masao – Chairman of the Association.

Also attending the program were representatives of Japan Construction Human Resources Association: Mr. To Tuan Hiep – Project Manager.

At the opening ceremony of the MOU signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – Chairman of the Association introduced an overview of the formation and birth of the Community College model in Vietnam and the main activities of VACC and its member units. He also shared his joy at expanding cooperation with a representative from Japan, especially on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.

On the side of JIDA, Mr. Shizu Masao also expressed his pleasure to meet and cooperate with VACC. The Japan Furniture Association JIDA was established in 1967 with the permission of the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan with more than 6000 members throughout Japan. He shared that Japan is currently one of the most attractive countries, attracting a large number of international human resources, including Vietnam. One of the fields that have a very high demand for labor resources and have high labor value in Japan is the furniture industry. The Japanese attach great importance to quality and art. The architectural works from ancient to modern are extremely sophisticated. This can confirm the creativity and aesthetic mind of the Japanese is very high. Great demand and high demand, However, in Japan, there is a shortage of qualified human resources for this field. Vietnam’s human resources have the strength of young, capable and skillful human resources, perseverance. He hoped that by signing a memorandum of understanding with VACC, the two units would have the opportunity for long-term, effective and sustainable cooperation in the near future.

The two sides have agreed and signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the following areas:

– Recruiting and training human resources for Japanese construction industry-specific exams.

– Working together, planning and implementing communication on interior finishing industry (according to Japanese standards) and interior finishing vocational training course conducted by JIDA.

– Transfer of technology, techniques and training methods between the two parties.

– Organize programs to visit and work together to exchange, share and learn from experience

– Research and evaluate the potential of the labor market in the construction field of Vietnam and Japan.

– Cooperation and mutual support in building, training, understanding the culture and language of Vietnam – Japan.
