(TVU) – On February 24th, Mr. Lam Minh Dang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with his delegation, visited and congratulated Tra Vinh University Hospital on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27, 1955 – 2025)
Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Propaganda Department; Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc, Deputy Director of Tra Vinh Provincial Health Department; and Mr. Vo Minh Nhut, Deputy Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office.
From Tra Vinh University, the delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector; Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Vice Rector; and Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Nhung, Director of Tra Vinh University Hospital, along with representatives from various units.
During the meeting, the Hospital’s leadership reported on the achievements in 2024, the early months of 2025, and the key tasks for medical staff at Tra Vinh University Hospital in 2025.
Deputy Secretary Lam Minh Dang acknowledged and appreciated the results of Tra Vinh University Hospital, which improved medical examination, treatment, and healthcare quality for people in Tra Vinh province.
During the working session, Mr. Lam Minh Dang expressed his hope that medical staff would continue to build upon their achievements, following President Hồ Chí Minh’s famous words from 70 years ago—“A good doctor must be like a mother”. He encouraged them to continuously improve medical examination and treatment quality, invest in medical equipment and supplies, and confidently apply and master information technology in medical treatment and management.
Additionally, he emphasized the importance of continuing specialized training for management and professional staff and maintaining excellent social welfare work.
On the eve of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day, Mr. Lam Minh Dang wished the leadership of Tra Vinh University Hospital, along with all staff and workers, good health, happiness, and success, always accomplishing their assigned tasks excellently.
