TVU – On the morning of May 7, 2025, Tra Vinh University has the honor to receive a working delegation from the Vietnam Association for Learning Promotion. Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and current President of the Vietnam Association for Learning Promotion, leads the delegation for this visit and working session.

The delegation also includes Vice Presidents of the Vietnam Association for Learning Promotion Ms. Pham Thi Hoe and Ms. Truong Thi Hien, along with other association members. The university welcomes and works with the delegation through Ms. Nguyen Thi Kha, President of Tra Vinh Province’s Association for Learning Promotion; Mr. Tran Van Boi, Vice President of the Association; Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector of Tra Vinh University; and leaders from various schools, departments, and centers within the university.

During the working session, the delegation listens to a comprehensive report on the university’s learning and talent promotion activities over recent years. Notably, from 2021 to present, the university has mobilized resources to support 13,113 student instances, with a total value exceeding 60.7 billion VND.
From 2019 to 2024, the university allocates 6-8% of tuition fees to provide more than 5,580 academic excellence scholarships, with total funding exceeding 53.6 billion VND. Additionally, the university effectively implements state social policies, supporting students eligible for educational loans.
A special highlight is the Professor Nguyen Thien Thanh Scholarship Fund, which has awarded over 5,000 scholarships to students in Tra Vinh Province since 2009, with a total value exceeding 5.9 billion VND. This fund contributes to nurturing and spreading the spirit of overcoming difficulties and love for learning within the community.

Speaking at the working session, Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan highly appreciates the efforts and achievements that Tra Vinh Province in general and Tra Vinh University in particular have accomplished in learning and talent promotion work. She hopes that in the coming period, the Provincial Learning Promotion Association will continue to play its core role, directing all levels of associations to vigorously implement learning promotion activities and build a learning society. At the same time, she expects Tra Vinh University to continue focusing on community training, placing learners at the center, expanding self-learning spaces and training environments for students, contributing to becoming a bright spot for sustainable education in the region and nationwide.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Learning presents 100 million VND in scholarships for disadvantaged but studious students in Tra Vinh Province – a meaningful gift that demonstrates deep concern for the educational mission in the locality.

During the visit, Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan plants a commemorative tree at the TVU’s Center of Excellence in Learning Resources and Innovation campus, expressing affection and strong connection between the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Learning and the university in their journey of spreading knowledge and promoting learning for the community.
