2023 tree planting festival

TVU – According to the TVU Youth Union, more than 400 union members participated in the tree planting event in early February in response to President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal, helping to plant and maintain 5.200 trees.

Each Youth Union member was encouraged to take part in planting at least two trees in their place of residence, and each associated grassroots union was required to plant more than 400 trees. Particularly, the Youth Union pruned more than 300 trees in addition to planting more than 500 new ones on campus. Over 5.200 trees have been newly planted and cared for in total.

The tree-planting event drew more than 400 union members and young people to join, according to Ms. Pham Le Phuong Thao, a standing member of the Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union and Deputy Secretary of the TVU Youth Union. In addition to raising students’ understanding of environmental conservation, this exercise also put Uncle Ho’s lessons into practice. As a result, the campus and our living environment would become cleaner and greener.

“The 2023 tree planting festival has deepened our understanding of the fact that the current young generation is responsible for preserving the environment and that doing so will also be a means of instilling values in each person’s daily life,” said Ta Thi Yen Nhu, a member of the Youth Union of the School of Foreign Languages.
