(TVU) – Tra Vinh University hosts the 2nd Research in English Language Teaching (RELT) scientific conference on June 24, 2024.
The event draws participants from the School of Southern Khmer Language – Culture – Arts and Humanity (SLASKA) at Tra Vinh University, including Dr. Ngo So Phe, Principal; Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nam, Vice Principal; Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tai, Head of the School of Foreign Languages; and Dr. Cao Thi Hong Cam, Director of Victory Center for Information Technology and Foreign Languages. Mr. Nguyen Phi Cong, Director of Tra Vinh University’s Center of Career, also attends, along with representatives from various university departments, lecturers, graduate students, alumni, and School of Foreign Languages.
In her opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nam emphasizes the Faculty of Foreign Languages’ commitment to scientific research as a key development driver. She highlights its role in training high-quality, skilled human resources with a spirit of learning, research, and creativity to meet English teaching needs across the province, Mekong Delta region, and the country.
The Conference Organizing Committee reports 25 papers submitted by researchers, educators, practitioners, and students from universities nationwide, including Hue University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and Banking University. Topics cover innovative language teaching approaches, lesson planning, language assessment, multilingualism, cultural exchange, teacher development, linguistics, English for Specific Purposes (ESP), student engagement, technology integration in language teaching, language policy, curriculum development, and sociocultural aspects of language learning.
Closing the conference, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nam commends the quality of the presented papers and expresses gratitude to the authors and delegates for their contributions to the event’s success.
