TVU – On October 10, 2022, the School of Medicine and Pharmacy, Tra Vinh University held its 10th establishment anniversary (October 10, 2012 – October 10, 2022).
The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Department of Health of Tra Vinh province, leaders of affiliated training institutions, partners, leaders of the University, leaders of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy, representatives of units, lecturers, students, and alumni of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy.
Prof. Dr. Tạ Văn Trầm – Dean of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy reviewed the 10-year journey of establishment and development as well as the outstanding achievements of the faculty.
He affirmed, “The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy has been continuing to build a medical system for community health, training doctors with solid professional capacity.” He also thanked the teachers and lecturers of the faculty for their efforts in fulfilling the mission of saving lives and imparting knowledge and motivation to students.
MSc. Tào Gia Phú, Deputy Head of the Infection Department, shared, “On behalf of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy, we always feel proud and happy to contribute our strength and intelligence to the 10-year journey of the faculty. Despite facing two difficult years under the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the staff, doctors, and students of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy are willing to overcome challenges and progress to success.
Ms. Lý Thị Tuyết, Former Rector of Tra Vinh Medical College, Former Vice Dean of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy said that in the early days of establishing the faculty, there were many difficulties and hardships, but fortunately, the School of Medicine and Pharmacy always receives the attention and support of the Board of Directors of the School, Tra Vinh Provincial General Hospital as well as affiliated units, experts, partners, departments, and departments to develop strongly up to the present.
The leadership of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy and the University’s Board of Directors gave souvenirs and deep gratitude to the former leaders of the faculty, experts, and lecturers of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy, hospitals, affiliates, and partners inside and outside the province.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Tiết Khánh, Chairman of the University Council shared, “The collective of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy, and Tra Vinh University must always continue to strive to develop stronger, step by step affirm their position and always keep the enthusiasm.”
The ceremony is an opportunity for the collective leaders, lecturers, doctors, and students of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy to look back on the journey of formation, and development and determine the next step towards the goal of striving to bring The School of Medicine and Pharmacy and Tra Vinh University towards a worthy position in the national higher education system, integration and development.
