Tra Vinh University receives 30 headsets for COIL teaching and learning from DAAD experts of Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (Germany)

On the afternoon of November 4, at Tra Vinh University, Prof. Dr. Nicole Ondrusch and Dr. Thomas Klemm – lecturers from Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (HHN), Germany, and consultants of the DAAD University Program Consulting Project – signed the handover minutes for 30 headsets to support Tra Vinh University students participating in classes designed under the COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) model.

COIL is an innovative teaching–learning approach based on online platforms, connecting Tra Vinh University students with students at partner universities worldwide to jointly carry out learning projects as part of their regular coursework. Through this model, students not only improve their foreign language skills but also develop collaboration skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in intercultural environments.

With support from the DAAD University Program Consulting Project, Tra Vinh University has established the COIL Network (The COIL Network – COIN) and has been piloting classes with various partners within and beyond the network, creating opportunities for students to access international education models right in their home province. The equipment handed over on this occasion will help improve online learning conditions, enabling students in COIL classes to communicate more effectively in discussions, group work, and project presentations with lecturers and international peers. Building on this foundation, students will continue to take part in courses that enhance their intercultural communication competence in English, moving toward the goal of developing a generation of confident, responsible global citizens ready for international integration.
