TVU – On November 12, Tra Vinh University issued a decision to recognize and grant the title of Visiting Professor. Dr. Harry Futselaar, a Water Technology Expert and Director of the International Water Technology Program at Saxion University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands.
According to the decision from the Rector of Tra Vinh University, Prof. Dr. Harry Futselaar receives recognition as a Visiting Professor at TVU for a five-year term, from the signing date until 2030. The university makes this appointment based on recommendations from the University Council, as the leadership acknowledges his contributions to international cooperation, scientific research, and teaching at Tra Vinh University.

Prof. Dr. Harry Futselaar, a Dutch national, leads in the fields of water technology, circular economy, and sustainable development. He has made outstanding contributions to cooperative activities between TVU and Saxion University through research projects, training programs, and technology transfer, particularly in water treatment and reuse, environmental resource conservation, and climate change adaptation.

The leadership of Tra Vinh University views the appointment of Prof. Dr. Harry Futselaar as Visiting Professor as a well-deserved recognition for his scientific and educational contributions. This decision also marks an important step in strengthening and expanding the strategic partnership between TVU and universities and research institutions in the Netherlands and around the world.

During his tenure as Visiting Professor, Prof. Dr. Harry Futselaar will continue working with Tra Vinh University in teaching activities, research supervision, strategic development consulting, and supporting the implementation of international cooperation projects in socio-economic fields, water technology, environment, and sustainable development. The Rector of TVU will identify and approve specific tasks based on proposals from specialized units and input from Prof. Dr. Harry Futselaar.
