On the morning of November 10, 2025, Tra Vinh University welcomed the Taiwan Business Association for Learning Promotion in Vietnam to work and award scholarships to students and graduate students facing difficult circumstances who are studying at the University. This is one of the practical activities for learners, encouraging the spirit of overcoming difficulties and striving to advance in their studies.
Attending the ceremony, representing the Taiwan Business Association for Learning Promotion in Vietnam were Mr. To Kien Nguyen, President of the Association; Professor Lam Vi Chi, Head of the Taipei Cultural and Economic Office in Ho Chi Minh City; and Ms. Le Thi Kieu, Assistant and member of the Taiwan Business Association for Learning Promotion in Vietnam.
Representing Tra Vinh University were Mr. Tran Hoan Kim, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Committee, and Chairman of the University Advisory Council; Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, former Vice Rector and Vice Chairman of the University Advisory Council; and Associate Professor Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University. Also attending were representatives from the University’s affiliated units and 29 graduate students and undergraduate students selected to receive scholarships in 2025.

At the ceremony, the Taiwan Business Association for Learning Promotion awarded 9 scholarships to graduate students and 20 scholarships to undergraduate students facing difficult circumstances, with a total value of 250 million VND. The scholarships were selected based on circumstances and academic performance, aiming to support and encourage learners to continue striving.

Speaking at the scholarship award ceremony, Mr. To Kien Nguyen expressed his joy in accompanying Tra Vinh University in supporting education. He acknowledged the efforts of students and graduate students to overcome difficulties, viewing the scholarships as well-deserved rewards for their efforts. He expects learners to continue cultivating knowledge and achieving more accomplishments in the future. At the same time, he expressed gratitude to the teaching staff who have accompanied and guided learners, contributing to creating a positive educational environment.

Representing the University, Associate Professor Dr. Diep Thanh Tung thanked the Taiwan Business Association for Learning Promotion for their concern and accompaniment, emphasizing that scholarships provide financial support and serve as great encouragement for students and graduate students facing difficult circumstances who have the will to rise up. The Vice Rector also encouraged scholarship recipients to continue studying hard, training themselves, and expanding learning and career opportunities in the future.

Representing the 29 graduate students and undergraduate students receiving scholarships, doctoral student Thach Thi Ro Mu Ni expressed appreciation for the accompaniment and trust of the Taiwan Business Association for Learning Promotion. The doctoral student emphasized that the scholarships provide both financial support and recognition of learners’ efforts. The representative committed to using the scholarships properly, continuing to strive for good results and practicing more Chinese language to reciprocate the trust of sponsors and the University.

At the ceremony, the University reported that to date, the Taiwan Business Association for Learning Promotion in Vietnam has awarded 116 scholarships to graduate students and undergraduate students at Tra Vinh University with a total value of over 1 billion VND. The scholarships contribute to creating more favorable learning conditions for many learners, especially those facing difficult circumstances.
The scholarship award activity concluded in a solemn atmosphere, recognizing the partnership between the Taiwan Business Association for Learning Promotion in Vietnam and Tra Vinh University, while encouraging students and graduate students to continue working hard and striving to achieve better academic results.
