TVUOn the 8th of April, 2022 The Social Entrepreneurship Virtual Exchange Program between Tra Vinh University (TVU) and Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) Canada has been successfully completed after eight weeks of working and exchanging with many exciting activities.

Starting on 14th February, the exchange program has the participation of 23 students from NSCC, 20 students from TVU, teachers, and faculties of both institutes.

This is the second year that the exchange program was organized virtually but it does not mean it’s a less exciting the program as the program is designed to alternate synchronous and asynchronous activities, individual tasks, and group tasks, aiming at optimizing interaction and communication between students and faculty of the two institutions. The program lasted for eight weeks and received positive feedback from students and lecturers.

Ms. Katie Orr – Director NSCC International, Nova Scotia Community College said “Thank you to all the students, teachers, and facilitators for providing the opportunity to have a feeling of connection during a pandemic where isolation has made that a rare thing! Getting to know you all has been a real bright part of life over the past couple of months”

“All students did such a great job with the business ideas. I enjoyed getting to know the Vietnamese culture through Facebook posts. I loved comparing and contrasting the two cultures through reading all posts of students” stated Ms. Sheri Williams – Manager- Entrepreneurship course

One of NSCC’s students, Donald Hornby commented “Most starts up ideas have an environmental element in them. It is awesome that today we all are trying to do the right thing for the environment”

“Thank you to everyone including teachers and students of NSCC and TVU in this program for bringing so many interesting lessons and new knowledge to me,” said Tạ Nguyễn Yến Như – one of the TVU students.

The TVU-NSCC Social Entrepreneurship Exchange Program was initiated and first launched in 2016 based on the partnership between Tra Vinh University (TVU) and Nova Community Colleges (NSCC). This Exchange Program has become an annual joint program that not only expands cooperation relations, tightens friendship, and creates opportunities for cultural exchange between Vietnam and Canada, but above all creates favorable conditions for studying and exchanging academic experiences for students of the two universities.
