A friendly football competition to welcome special events on April 30th and May 1st
In order to make accomplishments to welcome major events such as the 36thanniversary of Complete Liberation of the South and the National Unification April 30th, 1975 to April 30th, 2011, and the Labour Day on May 1st. Youth Union Branch of teachers at TVU organized a friendly football competition with the participation of 8 teams from universities, colleges, secondary schools and some high schools in the area of Tra Vinh province. There were distinguished guests in the opening ceremony such as Mr. Nguyen Chinh – Deputy of Party Committee Secretary, and concurrently Chairman of the Local Union of TVU, Mr. Nguyen Phi Cong – Vice President of the Youth Union, and representatives of sponsors, leaders of schools and players. The competition would be held in the scoring round, and then the semi-final round to choose two best teams for the final match sponsored by businesses in the province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Chinh proposed all the teams to play with their best, with objectivity, fairness and responsibility aiming at exchange and learning from each other, and strengthening the co-operation among the institutions. He also hoped the competition would bring relaxing moments to teachers and players so that they could train their health to work and study efficiently, welcoming the upcoming major events of the nation.
