In the evening of June 29th, 2011 the branches of Tra Vinh University Youth Union co-organized a musical program “Uom mam tuong lai”, that is a talent cultivation for future in order to raise a fund of scholarships to support needy students with best accomplishment in the school.
The performance by students included lots of items in different categories choreographed by Tra Vinh city branch of student union with the support of Anh Binh Minh troupe of Khmer art such as singing, dancing, drama, magic … etc.
On this occasion, DongA bank and Tra Vinh Food Company gave 24 scholarships with the cost 500,000 VND per each for the poor students. The program also mobilized approximately 20 million VND from individuals, and groups contributed to the fund of the scholarships.
On behalf of TVU Youth, Comrade Nguyen Phi Cong – Deputy Secretary of TVU Youth Union, concurrently President of Students Union said thank you to the units, individuals, groups who contributed money to support scholarships for TVU students. Those created extra motivation to help them learn better. Also, TVU Youth Union gave rewards to the individuals and groups with excellent achievement in movements of Youth Union and Student Union at TVU in the last time.
